ABOUT ISSE
The Indian Society of Systems for Science and Engineering (ISSE) is a professional body for interdisciplinary collaboration of systems science and engineering. ISSE is unique among the systems oriented institutions having the objective of bringing together scholars and practitioners from academic, business and R&D organizations for promoting the systems concept. The society was started in 2010 at Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), with its Headquarters at Thiruvananthapuram and was formally registered under the Travancore Cochin Literary Scientific and charitable societies registration act -1995.
ABOUT THE CONFERENCE SASAT 2023
The National Conference on Systems Approach in Self-Reliance in Advanced Technologies (SASAT-2023) will be held in person from 24-25, March 2023 at the University College of Engineering, Osmania University, Hyderabad, This conference is the fifth in a series of ISSE National Annual Conference (INAC). The conference is organized by ISSE, Hyderabad Chapter in association with DRDO, ISRO, and UCEOU and aims to encourage communication among the participants working in the areas of Defence and Space related activities through contributed paper presentations, interactive poster sessions, keynotes/invited talks, panel discussions and exhibitions of components, hardware, and systems. The conference solicits active participation from Gov. labs, R&D organizations, start-ups, private firms, industries, and academia. It is expected that this conference will help in the exchange of ideas.
INDIAN SPACE RESEARCH ORGANISATION (ISRO)
Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is the space agency of India. The organisation is involved in science, engineering & technology to harvest the benefits of outer space for India & mankind. ISRO is a major constituent of the Department of Space (DOS), Govt. of India. The department executes the Indian Space Programme primarily through various Centres within ISRO.
DEFENCE RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT ORGANISATION
(DRDO)
DRDO is the R&D wing of Ministry of Defence, Govt of India, with a vision to empower India with cutting-edge defence technologies and a mission to achieve self-reliance in critical defence technologies and systems, while equipping our armed forces with state-of-the-art weapon systems and equipment in accordance with requirements laid down by the three Services. DRDO's pursuit of self-reliance and successful indigenous development & production of strategic systems and platforms such as Agni and Prithvi series of missiles; light combat aircraft, Tejas; etc., have given quantum jump to India's military, generating effective deterrence & providing crucial leverage.
UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING, OSMANIA UNIVERSITY
The University College of Engineering (UCE) is the oldest & the biggest among the Engineering Colleges of the States of Telangana & AP. Established in the year 1929, eleven years after the formation of Osmania University, it was the 6th Engineering College to be established in the whole of British India. The Golden Jubilee of the College was celebrated in 1979, the Diamond Jubilee in 1989 and the Platinum Jubilee in 2004.The College was made autonomous in 1994. The College offers 4-year engineering degree courses leading to the award of Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Biomedical Engg., Civil Engg., Computer Science Engg., Artificial & Machine Learning, Electrical and Electronics Engg., Electronics and Communications Engg., Mechanical Engg. & Mining Engg. The College also offers Ph.D., in various branches of Engineering.
